World Aids Day
If you have never heard of connecting internet through prepaid cards, then you are also too young to know this woman. Sarah Jane Salazar, an HIV/AIDS awareness activist and the second person to publicly go out as a HIV positive in 1993 (the first is Dolzura Cortez).
Her noisy and colorful life gave HIV/AIDS a face during the 90’s. She had a relationship with a man 5 years younger than her. His boyfriend contracted the disease and they had 2 children who tested negative about the disease.
She died June 11, 2000 from complications arising from AIDS.
Today, HIV/AIDS continue its rise with the rate of increase accelerating during the last 5 years.
